Ink Renderings of Historic Seminole, Florida

Our new book, Ink Renderings of Historic Seminole, Florida is not just another coffee table/history book; it is Seminole and artistically accentuates the Seminole Historical Society motto, “Where the Present Remembers the Past”.

Our museum resident artist, Dennis McBride, is the creator and once again Dennis has exemplified the community spirit of Seminole through his renderings of historic landmarks. Dennis painted the large orange tree on the museum wall in the Pioneer Room, drew and painted varied art themes on the three museum cylinders hung from the ceiling, and also was the originator and designer of our Seminole Historical Society notecards in addition to the framed renderings of Seminole landmarks.

Editing and critique of all historical data for each rendering in our new book was provided by Marilyn Mohney a lifelong Seminole resident and Seminole Historical Society board member. Marilyn’s extensive knowledge of the City of Seminole is an invaluable asset for Seminole and the museum. At the January 2020 Kickoff 50th Anniversary program, Marilyn was recognized as the oldest resident born in Seminole.

Publishing has begun and the copies will be available for purchase. The purchase price is $20.00, with all proceeds being donated to the Seminole Historical Society.
